Cold Showers - Dave x Reader

  “Dave it’s sooo hot!” You wined at your boyfriend Dave. This was your first summer in Texas since meeting Dave a year ago on the internet. It was 9 pm and still felt like it was a million degrees out.

“Sorry (Name). This is what you get for livin’ in Texas” Dave shrugged.

“Ya but at least you can take off your shirt” you said pointing out the fact that he was lying on the couch in nothing but board shorts and his signature shades.

“You can take your shirt off you know” he said propping himself up on his elbows.

“And give a perverted guy like you a chance. No way” you said teasingly.

“Calling your boyfriend a pervert. That’s not cool.” Dave fell back onto the couch laughing lightly. After a few moments he sat up again “If your really desperate you can go have a cold shower.” You guessed it wasn’t to bad of an idea. With a sigh you stood and walked off to the bathroom.

“You better not walk in on me though” you called over your shoulder.

  Once in the bathroom you undressed and turned on the shower. You steeped in and let the cool water wash over your hot body. It was absolutely refreshing. You started to hum a silly little tune.


*Dave’s POV*


  Once (Name) was in the shower I got right up and went to the bathroom door. I wasn’t going to pass up this opportunity to see my very beautiful girlfriend naked. We’d been dating for almost a year but it was only a month ago that she had worked up the money to move from the countryside to the city to live with me. I had to admit that she was even prettier in person. I put my ear to the door and listened to (Name)’s humming which slowly turned into singing. Her angelic voice wafted through the door and made me fall for her all over again.

2am; where do I begin,
Crying off my face again.
The silent sound of loneliness
Wants to follow me to bed.

I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most.
I'm the shell of a girl that I used to know well

  I heard the water shut off and (Name) step out of the shower. There was a rustling of a towel that told me she was drying off.

Dancing slowly in an empty room,
Can the lonely take the place of you?
I sing myself a quiet lullaby.
Let you go and let the lonely in
To take my heart again.

  I pushed the door open just a crack and poked my head in. I was lucky (Name) had her back to me. “You know you still sound as amazing a you did the first time I heard you” I said as I stepped in the door way. (Name) squealed and spun around nearly dropping the towel in the process. Not that I would have minded if she had.

“Dave I told you not to come in!” She yelled and pushed me out of the room, locking the door behind me.


*Reader’s POV*


  Once you were fully clothed you stepped out of the bathroom to see Dave leaning against the hallway. “What in the world was that about.” You had your arms crossed in front of your chest and your (h/l) (h/c) hair laying limp against your head. You knew Dave could tell by the look on your face that he had better be completely honest.

“Well I was going to peak in at you, but when I heard you start singing I remembered exactly why I fell in love with you in the first place.” You blushed as Dave strode up to you. “Because I could tell from the second I heard your voice that you were an angel.” Suddenly his lips were on yours and his arms around your waist. You brought your arms up around his neck. Once you pulled away for air Dave brushed a strand of hair out of your face. “I love you (Name).”

“I love you too, Dave.” And with that he lead you off to bed for a good nights sleep.
