Beep! Beep! Beep!

You went to hit the snooze button only to find nothing but emptiness. Sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of your eyes you remembered you had stayed the night at you best friend Dave’s house. Even though Dave was a guy it wasn’t awkward since you’d stayed over many times before. You stretched, brushed your (h/c) hair out of your eyes and proceeded to pull your pj’s on. There was the sweet smell of apple pancakes coming from the kitchen. When you stepped inside you saw none other than Dave standing by the stove flipping the delicious breakfast. “Morning Dave” you said with a yawn. “Sup (Name)” Dave said turning his head to look at you. “Those smell great~” You pulled a chair up to the counter where Dave had set out some plates. “They better be I got up at like five am and made all these goddam pancakes” Dave waved the spatula around in the air for emphasis. You just giggled. Leave it to a Strider to make a totally ridiculous comment like that. “Ya right batter boy” you said. Dave slid the last pancakes onto the tray and brought it to the counter. “How would you know? You were off in unicorn dream land.” He said pulling a chair up next to you. You giggled again knowing he was just pulling your leg. “Dig in” Dave said placing three of the pancakes on your plate. You covered them in maple syrup and took a bite. “Mmmm…” You hummed. Dave smiled; he knew this was your way of telling him they were great. You spent the next few minutes eating all of the pancakes.

By the time you were done you were so stuffed you felt like you would explode. Dave looked over at you; you knew exactly what he was about to say. “Sunday morning cartoons?” He asked. You nodded and ran over to the couch, stretching out so you took up the entire thing. “(Name) make some room,” Dave said crossing his arms. “No way buckaroo” you smiled knowing he hated the name. “You asked for it.” Dave slid his arms under you and lifted you up. You tried grabbing onto the arm of the couch to no avail. Dave plopped him self down in your spot and sat yourself on top of his lap. “Dave your no fun to sit on. To hard and stiff” you wined to him. “Take it or leave it” Dave said ruffling your hair. You pouted as he turned on the TV.

Six and a half shows and two pillow fights later, you and Dave were in the middle of cuddling on the couch (in a non lovey way) when Dave’s bro walked in. Both of your heads turned as the older Strider came through the door. “Hey Bro!” You called waving to him. “Hey (Name). Nice to see the little dude getting the moves on someone for once” Bro said walking down the hall towards his room. “Bro!!!!” Dave yelled and he ran after his older brother. You just sat on the couch blushing and giggling when you heard the sounds of a strife starting. You wouldn’t miss a Strider strife for the world.
